Also, updated the galleries quite a bit![10.10.11] Working on the Awards Program pages this week - send updates for their points and get horses enrolled! It's not too late to be part of the 2011 program![9.18.11] SERIOUS website overhaul - the pages will probably be under construction for the next week or so, plus expect *major* gallery updates.[2.23.11] Just a quick note for now - the sale has been extended through APRIL 12. Photos of recently finished pieces have been uploaded (including a Scarlett and Musetta in oils), and an entirely new page has been added - the Winner's Circle gallery. Photos of horses painted by RAS with their winnings will be posted here (if you have pictures from shows or just ones you've taken with your model's ribbons/cards/awards, send them and I'll get them on the page)! It's baby season on the farm so my time for painting has been cut down a bit, but I am still accepting commissions! I've been experimenting some with different painting techniques, including more use of pure pigments over the airbrushing (the only finished example is a chestnut Gizelle as well as once again attempting oils! Keep an eye on this page for the completed pictures of a dapple grey Scarlett in oils that I will be posting later tonight!TTFN : ) [12.22.09] The past few days I have done some major work on the site including the obvious redesigning and new graphics, but I have also updated the gallery with my most recently completed work and made updates to the pricing page. Model Horse Commissions
METHODS***AS OF 12/10 ALL MODELS WILL BE PAINTED USING A COMBINATION OF HAND PAINTED OILS AND AIRBRUSHED ACRYLICS - I have found that by combining the two, you get the "best of both worlds" with the added glow and depth of color from the oils, plus the vibrancy and smoothness of blending/shading from airbrushed acrylics*** All horses are painted entirely by hand, using a combination of high quality hand painted oil paints airbrushed & hand painted acrylics, pastels and colored pencils (commissions in "oils only" or "airbrushed acrylics only" available occasionally on request).AVAILABLE COLORS My books are open! I am currently accepting all colors and patterns with slots open immediately. Please note that while prices below do include prepping and basic white markings, heavy dappling, extensive/complicated patterns, hair by hair roans and dapple greys may be extra. Because my customers are just wonderful, I have started an incentive/awards program. Any horse painted by RAS, regardless of if it was a commission or a sales piece will be automatically eligible for the program. Basically, every time you take a model painted by myself to a show (includes International & photo shows), it will aquire points based on placing (you will automatically recieve 1 point just for taking it to the show). Each horse will have it's own page (found towards the bottom of this one) with a running tally of points. The best part?
